Consistent with its mission to best serve the needs of all its patients, the Center for Neurological Disorders provides comprehensive psychological services. Staff psychologists are experienced in the assessment and treatment of the neurological patients and individuals suffering the chronic pain and other consequences of prolonged illness.
Included in the Center's extensive continuum of care are the following psychological services:

Neuropsychological assessment of neurological and medical diagnosis, including assessment of geriatric related issues.

Assessment, treatment and management of chronic and acute pain, conducted individually or in a group setting.
Preoperative pain management instruction for patients undergoing surgical intervention.

Neuromuscular facial retraining, a non-invasive treatment program for the treatment of facial paralysis.
Adjustment counseling and general personality assessment for issues relating to medical illness, functioning and adjustment following brain injury.

Cognitive-behavioral and behavior treatment for the following:

  • Weight Management

  • Sexual Dysfunction

  • Sleep Disorders

  • Stress Management

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Depression

  • Incontinence
