 Kevin Kaufman, M.D.

A specialist in cerebrovascular, skull base and complex spine, Kevin Kaufman, M.D., has published numerous articles, manuscripts and abstracts on subjects such as brain tumors and complex spinal surgery. He has also made presentations on skull base and vascular surgery to various groups throughout North America, including medical gatherings in Mexico and Canada.

He is a graduate of Rose Hulman Institute of Technology were he received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. He received his medical degree graduating with honors from West Virginia University School of Medicine. While there he served as class president and was medical student section president of the West Virginia State Medical Association. He completed his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and IndianaDr. Kaufman and Jane Wilkins University Medical Center.

Dr. Kaufman is Board Certified by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and is certified as an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor. He is also a clinical assistant professor of neurosurgery at John Peter Smith Hospital.

Dr. Kaufman is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Skull Base Society. He is also certified in Advanced Microvascular Surgery Techniques and received his Midas Rex certification in 1997. He served as an AMA annual meeting delegate and was the recipient of the Van Liere Memorial Research Fellowship.  Kaufman has been initiated into the prestigious American College of Surgeons as a Fellow.
